Continuing our photographic tour of the now-deserted ship, we come across what was, in happier times, one of the most boisterous places on the ship. The ship’s last voyage was one without passengers as she headed for Turkey, where she would be set upon by workers who would spend the next several months dismantling every inch of the ship. Overall, the ship’s appearance and aesthetic were an indicator of its age, and severely outdated it, regardless of the fact that Carnival had updated the ship with new venues, restaurants and family-friendly perks. Fantasy-class ships have a higher percentage of inside cabins than the fleet’s newer ships, and with the exception of Carnival Sensation, Carnival Fascination, and Carnival Ecstasy, only the suite categories offer balconies. Every cabin has adequate closet and drawer–shelf storage, as well as bathroom shelves. While there was not a movie theater aboard Carnival Inspiration, there was a traditional theater. All of the restaurants aboard this ship were complimentary, with no specialty dining options. While this did mean fewer overall options, it was likely nice knowing that you could eat wherever you wanted on the ship and never pay extra.
In fact, when it comes to waterslides on ships, Carnival is the cruise world's king.
